FROM has answered many questions, but its biggest mysteries remain unsolved. Why do certain characters receive visions while others never do? Why was Jim killed but Boyd spared? Is Fatima transforming into something new? And could Martin actually be a future version of Boyd? These are my biggest FROM Season 4 theories after analyzing the clues hidden throughout the series.

Everyone is trying to solve the monsters.

I think everyone is looking at the wrong mystery.

The biggest question in FROM isn't who the monsters are. It isn't where the town came from. It isn't even who the Man in Yellow really is.

Why do only certain people receive messages?

Theory #4: The Man in Yellow Is Managing The Game

I don't think he created the town.

I think he manages it.

If the Man in Yellow wanted everyone dead:

Who Are The Dolls And Why Don't Talismans Stop Them?

Talismans seem designed specifically for the smiling night monsters.

But they don't affect Jasper, the music box entity, the kimono woman, or the children.

My theory?

Talismans only work against one species of entity.

• Layer 1: Smiling monsters
• Layer 2: Dreams and spiritual entities
• Layer 3: The Man in Yellow
• Layer 4: Whatever created the town

The dolls ignore talismans because they belong to a different layer entirely.

Is Fatima Becoming The Next Man In Yellow?

Not exactly.

I think Fatima is becoming the next type of entity.

Maybe every cycle creates:

• One Boy in White
• One Man in Yellow
• One Monster Leader

Fatima's transformation could be the birth of a completely new role.

Is Ethan Becoming The Next Victor?

This is one of the strongest parallels in the show.

My twist:

Ethan isn't becoming Victor.

Victor is what happens if Ethan fails.

Victor sees his own story repeating. That's why he is obsessed with Ethan.

What Is The Boy In White Trying To Say?

Everyone assumes:

• Boy in White = good
• Man in Yellow = evil

I think that's too simple.

Maybe the Boy in White wants the cycle preserved.

Maybe the Man in Yellow wants the cycle changed.

Maybe neither side is truly good.

Maybe they're fighting over control of the town itself.

Why Jim Had To Die

Most fans think Jim died because he knew too much.

I disagree.

Jade knows more. Victor knows more. Tabitha knows more.

Yet they're alive.

My theory:

Jim wasn't killed for knowledge.

He was killed because he kept Tabitha anchored to reality.

Remove Jim.

Tabitha becomes easier to move.

Who Is Martin?

Martin Is Future Boyd

Both are military men.

Both endure impossible suffering.

If Julie can move through time, future versions of people may already exist inside the town.

Martin may not be from the past.

Martin may be Boyd's future.

Final Theory: The Town Is A Machine

The monsters are tools.

The Boy in White is a tool.

The Man in Yellow is a tool.

The system is the mystery.

The town behaves less like a haunted place and more like a machine.

A machine that assigns roles. A machine that creates entities. A machine that moves people where they need to be.
